Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fazıl GÖKGÖZ was born in Ankara in 1974. He graduated from Ankara Gazi Anadolu High School in 1992. In 1996, he began to work at the Mining Engineering Department of Hacettepe University as a research assistant, where he had previously graduated from, receiving the Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı Superior Achievement Award and as top of his department. In 1999 he completed his master’s degree in the Graduate School of Science of Hacettepe University. He received a master’s degree in Management from Başkent University. He completed his PhD studies at the Department of Management of Ankara University Graduate School of Social Sciences in 2004.
Between 1998 and 2008, Dr. Gökgöz worked as Project Group Deputy Head and Specialist in numerous operations for public company mergers, acquisitions and appraisement at the Privatization Administration of the Prime Ministry of the Turkish Republic. He was board member of the İnmet Mining Corp – Çayeli Copper Works Inc. between 2003 and 2004, member of auditing board at T. Manure Inc. between 1999 and 2002 and Gemlik Manure Industries Inc. between 2002 and 2003.
He was guest instructor between 2005 and 2008, at the Faculty of Political Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences of Ankara University. In 2008 he began to work at The Quantitative Methods Division of Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences as faculty member. Since 2009 he has been working as Administrative Assistance Coordinator of Ankara University. He received the title of Associative Professor on Quantitative Decision Methods in 2010. He also continues to teach quantitative methods at undergraduate and graduate levels at the Faculty of Political Sciences and has national and international academic publications on finance and quantitative methods.
He is married and has one child.
