Associate Professor Dr. Köksal Demir was born in Ankara in 1962. He completed his high school education in Ankara Atatürk High School and his higher education in 1984 at the Department of Horticulture of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ankara University. He began his master degree program in 1985 at the Graduate School of Science of Ankara University. In 1986, he was appointed as research assistant to the Department of Horticulture of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ankara University . He received his Ph.D. in 1994, was appointed as assistant professor in 1997, and as associate professor in 1998. His research has focused on plant production using protective cover techniques; greenhouse productionand construction; and vegetable production.
During his career he has held the following positions: member of General Agricultural Stock Taking Research Group in the Directorate of Waterworks of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry , Executive Board member of Society for Development and Cooperation of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ankara University, Board of Honor member of the TEMA Foundation, member of Curriculum Preparation Commission, chair and member of Granary Stock Taking Commission of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ankara University, Executive Board Assistant and Associate Professor member of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ankara University, Associate Professor member of the Executive Board of the Faculty of Forestry of Ankara University, and for last fours the director and department deputy head of Research Application Operations of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ankara University.
Assoc. Prof. Demir is married and has two children.
