Prof. Dr. A. Argun KARACABEY was born in Ankara in 1969. After his primary school education, he graduated from TED Ankara College in 1987, and completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Management of the Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University in 1991. In 1992 he was appointed as a research assistant of the Graduate School of Social Sciences, and in 1993 his official tenure was transferred to the Department of Management Digital Methods Division of the Faculty of Political Science. He completed his Ph.D. studies at the Graduate School of Social Sciences Management Division in 1998.
In 2000, he was appointed assistant professor to the Department of Management, Digital Methods Division of the Faculty of Political Science. He was promoted to associate professor of Quantitative Decision Methods in 2003. He was chair of the Quantitative Decision Methods Division of the Faculty of Political Sciences, and an assistant professor representative at the Administrative Board, Faculty Board associate professor representative, Administrative Board Associate professor representative. He has held the post of vice-dean of the Political Sciences Faculty and 2006-2008.
